RACHEL BARNACLE LMFT, LIMHP

I am passionate about my work as a therapist and feel honored to come alongside you as you pursue mental and emotional wellness. I combine research based treatments with a nurturing, welcoming spirit. I consider your story to be sacred and worth being held with care and compassion as you trust me with it. I received my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and am a licensed Mental Health Practitioner in the state of Nebraska. I have a good amount of experience as I have been providing counseling services for the past fifteen years in the Lincoln area. I frequently use Attachment and Trauma Informed Theories, CBT, Gottman, and Narrative Theory in my work.

I recognize that my personal experiences impact the way I see the world and do therapy. With that in mind, here are some “fun facts” that may help you know more about me:

  • I spent my childhood in Kenya, Africa. Growing up overseas greatly shaped my worldview.

  • I am a mom to four kids and am passionate about mothering. I am both a biological and adoptive mom.

  • Three things that bring me joy are the ocean, delicious baking, and laughing until my sides hurt with friends.
